Speakeasy @ Margret (May 7, 2010 *10:00pm - 3:00am*)

Alright alright alright alright!!!!

With the beautiful weather brings another edition of SPEAKEASY FIRST FRIDAY!!! So, in the spirit of seasons changing, I have a favour to ask.

The favour is this:
Take off those sweaters.
Take off those boots.
Take off those long sleeved shirts

Take off those hats (unless it's a saucy one and then by all means leave it on)
Take off whatever you think will make it too... hot... for you. Because the first Friday of May - MAY 7TH at 1015pm we are bringing you our first official spring SPEAKEASY and it's going to be one. hot. party.

Things are blooming. Things are blossoming. Things are cumming... alive. And that's exactly what DJ COZMIC CAT is banking on. She'll be bringing the funk, the soul, the disco, the

classics and so much more because....

...She wants to see you on that dance floor shedding your winter... clothing... she wants to see you blossoming out there - meeting new "friends", becoming re-acquainted with old "friends" - drinking, dancing, bumping, grinding, playing, and... well... sprouting of course. ;)

It would make our spring to see your GORGEOUS faces and bodies at MARGRET in the JUNCTION to remind the folks in the hood that we are far from dry.
We happen to be very, very wet.

Meet us there at 1015 on FRIDAY, MAY 7TH for a night to remember.

All our love, obviously,
Your neighbourhood queers,
J
&Coz

Alright everyone, we're going strong this month with PART TWO of one of our favourites "Fingersmith" adapted from Sarah Waters' novel.

Please join us for this tantalizing period piece at MARGRET in the Junction. Grab a drinky, pull up a piece of sofa, get cozy and munch on some.... popcorn :)

Susan "Sue"
Trinder is a fingersmith (pick pocket) who lives in the slums of London with baby farmer (person who looks after unwanted babies) Mrs.Sucksby. When a once rich gambeler, Gentleman, presents them with a scam that has a payout of 40,000 pounds, Sue signs on to swindle the wealthy Maud Lilly. Maud, an orphan lives with her uncle, a writer. But what exactly does he write and what exaclty goes on in the Lilly house? Sue's task is to pose as Maud's maid so that Mr.Rivers (Gentleman) can get close to Maud and eventually marry her. Their devious plan is to put Maud in the madhouse and keep her money for themselves but all goes terrbily awry when Sue falls in love with Maud or does she?

See you soon, my pretties.
love always,
j ♥
